Creamline shows no mercy in massacre sweep of Chef’s Classic

Defending champions Creamline showed no mercy when it demolished newcomer Chef’s Classic in straight sets, 25-12, 25-5, 25-15, to notch its third consecutive victory in the Premiere Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference 2019, Sunday at the FilOil Flying V Center in San Juan.

It was a no-sweat win for the Cool Smashers dispatching the Lady Red Spikers to remain immaculate at the top of the standings.

Creamline was dominant from the get-go, burying the rookie squad in a 21-4 hole behind Jema Galanza. Chef’s Classic then sparked a late set run to hike its score to no avail.

The Cool Smashers were even more merciless in the second after hammering a 19-1 lead against the Lady Red Spikers.

Team captain Alyssa Valdez led the onslaught with 16 points off eight kills, seven aces and a block laced with eight digs.

Jema Galanza and Michele Gumabao managed 11 and 10 as every player from the Cool Smashers saw court minutes.

Creamline’s next assignment is against BanKo on August 21 as Chef’s Classic tries to bounce back when it face Choco Mucho on August 24.
