Tots Carlos catches fire anew as Motolite disposes Chef’s Classics for 7th win

Tots Carlos took over for Motolite anew as they dismantled the Chef’s Classics Lady Red Spikers in straight sets, 25-19, 25-23, 25-22, earlier in the 2019 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the Filoil Flying V Center.

It was a much-needed bounce-back win for Motolite after dropping their previous game to the Philippine Air Force Lady Jet Spikers, with Myla Pablo also seeing limited action for the first time after her midfoot injury.

After a relatively easy opening set win, Motolite saw a tougher Chef’s Classics squad in the toughly-contested next two sets with the latter even taking a 16-11 lead in the third.

Carlos delivered anew for Motolite as she led her team’s offensive arsenal all throughout the game, including the finishing kills in the second and third sets.

The opposite spiker exploded for Motolite with 26 points to help her squad clinch its seventh win of the tournament. Meanwhile, Nieza Viray led the losing effort for Chef’s Classics with 15 points as they remain winless with a 0-12 record.

Motolite looks to improve their Final Four chances as they face the Banko Perlas Spikers on Saturday.
