Adamson wins first ever PVL Collegiate title at the expense of UST

The Adamson University Lady Falcons reign over the 2019 Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference as they crushed the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses in Game Two of the finals to take the championship.

The Lady Falcons dominated the Tigresses in straight sets, 25-19, 25-6, 25-17, to end the best-of-three title series earlier in the Filoil Flying V Center.

The match turned out to be a huge contrast to their Game One skirmish, a five-set showdown with numbers too close to call.

Lorene Toring, hailed 1st Best Middle Blocker, led the Lady Falcons with 15 markers, while Conference MVP Trisha Genesis added 14.

Louie Romero, who recorded 24 excellent sets against UST’s nine, was hailed Finals MVP for her performance all throughout the title series.

On the other hand, national team player Eya Laure finished as the only double-digit scorer for UST with 11 points as they settle for silver.

Meanwhile, the Ateneo de Manila University Lady Eagles finished in third place after defeating the College of Saint Benilde earlier in Game Two of their battle-for-third series.
