Adamson University’s Trisha Genesis and Louie Romero had their efforts recognized as they clinched respective Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards to headline the 2019 Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference awardees.
In her sophomore uprising, Genesis capped off the conference with the 1st Best Open Spiker award and a fitting Conference MVP plum as she led the Lady Falcons to the collegiate title.
Romero, meanwhile, received the Finals MVP award for her playmaking brilliance in the best-of-three title series.
Teammate Lorene Toring also finished with individual recognition after being hailed the 1st Best Middle Blocker.
Ateneo’s Faith Nisperos and Jaja Maraguinot clinched the 2nd Best Open Spiker and Best Setter awards respectively, while UST rookie Imee Hernandez finished 2nd Best Middle Blocker.
On the other hand, College of Saint Benilde’s Klarisa Abriam and Arianne Daguil took home the Best Opposite Spiker and Best Libero awards respectively.
