With her breakthrough performance for the Creamline Cool Smashers, Jema Galanza capped off the tournament with the Conference Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in the 2019 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.
Finishing as Creamline’s best scorer in the tournament, the 5-foot-7 open spiker helped the Cool Smashers defend their Open Conference crown against the Petro Gazz Angels, dropping 16 markers in Game Two.
Galanza also snagged one of the Best Open Spiker awards, together with Jovy Prado of the Petro Gazz Angels.
Creamline’s Kyla Atienza capped off her defensive uprising with the Cool Smashers as she took the Best Libero award. Meanwhile, teammate Jia Morado snatched her fifth Best Setter plum in the league.
Banko’s Kathy Bersola bagged her third Best Middle Blocker award, together with Petro Gazz’ Jeanette Panaga. Meanwhile, Motolite’s Tots Carlos received the Best Opposite Spiker award.
