SiPons now part of Creamline as Rebisco backs their beach volley campaign

Rebisco Philippines will be behind Sisi Rondina and Bernadeth Pons’ beach volleyball campaigns as they are now part of the Creamline beach volleyball team.

The Cool Smashers will be supporting Rondina’ and Pons’ beach volleyball aspirations this year as they shift their focus to participating in more international competitions.

This development was shared by no less than the tandem via social media posts.

Rondina took to Twitter on Friday night to express her gratitude to Creamline while reminiscing her past conversation with Pons when they dreamt of focusing full time on the sands.

She wrote, “Naalala ko pa usapan namin ni @ponsbernadeth na “what if kaya no kung may susuporta satin yung full time tayo sa beachvolley” into this picture. Mahal namin kayo @coolsmasherssph.”

Pons echoed her partner in an Instagram post on Saturday, thanking Rebisco, Creamline and Charo Soriano for making their dreams come true.

“We’re just dreaming about this until you made this all possible for us! Maraming salamat @rebiscoph @rebiscosambansa and @coolsmasherssph @coolsmashers for the new opportunity and for trusting us. Also to ate @itscharosoriano @pilipinasbeachvolleyball @beachvolleyballrepublic for helping us make our dreams into a reality. Pilipinas Beach Volleyball Team!” she wrote.

In a separate tweet, Rebisco Vice President for Marketing Alan Acero welcomed the two to the fold.

He said, “Sa panahon ngayon, bawal magkasakit. Pero sa #CreamlineBeachVolleyball, positive tayong lahat kay #SiPons. Welcome to @RebiscoPH and the @CoolSmashers family, @Rondina011 & @bernadeth_pons!”

Following their rather fruitful campaigns in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Boracay Open 2019 and the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, where they won bronze, SiPons decided to leave long-time club Petron and skip indoor tournaments to focus solely on their beach volleyball careers.

They are tipped to compete in Beach Volleyball Republic tournaments as well as join FIVB tilts in a bid to improve the country’s stand in the beach volleyball world rankings.
