Alyssa Valdez earns fourth MVP but hopes to lead Creamline to PVL title soon

Alyssa Valdez secured her fourth Most Valuable Player Award in the Premier Volleyball League to set a tournament record for most MVPs awarded in a local player.

The Creamline Cool Smashers captain also received the 1st Best Outside Hitter in the Reinforced Conference of the newly refurbished league.

The 23-year-old Valdez now has a personal seven season MVP awards including her three in the UAAP.

“It’s motivating me to help the team to improve. ‘Yung goal naman ng bawat team is to get the championship. In short, hindi pa natatapos dito yung goal namin as a team, this is just the beginning,” Valdez said after receiving the award.

The other awardees are as follows:

2nd Best Outside – Grethcel Soltones

1st Best Middle – Risa Sato
2nd Best Middle – Jeanette Panaga

Best Opposite Spiker – Dimdim Pacres
Best Setter – Jas Nabor
Best Libero – Mel Gohing
