BaliPure are currently 2-1 in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference but Roger Gorayeb admits his wards’ confidence is much lower from the previous conference.
“Nawawala yung agressiveness nila. Hindi dapat ganun,” Gorayeb said.
The Water Defenders made quick work of the University of the Philipines to bounce back from their loss against Creamline last Wednesday.
Gorayeb though was far from happy particularly their near colapse at the end of the third set.
They were up, 22-19 late in that set before UP took the lead with a 4-0 run. Good thing the Water Defenders held tight to seal the deal with their own 3-0 run.
Gorayeb felt his young team peaked way too soon last conference where they went to the Reinforced finals, considering how the team only got formed a few weeks before the tournament started.
The Water Defenders will have a week of rest before facing the Air Force next Sunday. While Gorayeb admits his team is still groping for their last conference’s form, he isn’t keen on pushing the panic button just yet.
“Mas ok na mangyari to ngayon kaysa dulo.
