Rookie team Petro Gazz Angels may be making its first appearance in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) but familiar faces will lead the squad on their bid to challenge mainstays, Creamline Cool Smashers, Pocari Sweat-Airforce Lady Warriors, and Banko-Perlas Spikers.
Former La Sallians Paneng Mercado, Chie Saet, and Wensh Tiu will bring their experience from their stints in the rival league, Philippine Superliga ,to assist the young core of the comebacking Cienne Cruz, Alyssa Layug of Technological Insititute of the Philippines, and Meanne Medrez of the UE Lady Warriors.

Both Saet and Mercado donned the red and white sleeves for the Cignal HD Spikers, that lorded over the PSL Invitational Conference last year, while Tiu has grown big time in the lair of the Cocolife Assets Managers, where she played alongside veterans Tina Salak, Nene Bautista, and Mary Jean Balse.
Joining the trio in the line up are ex-NCAA champions Djanel Cheng, Ranya Musa, Rachel Austero, and libero Rica Jane Enclona, who were part of the CSB squad that reigned in the Season 91 women’s volleyball tournament.
Petro Gazz made a huge recruiting coup in the offseason as they hired the service of former Lady Warrior and three-time champion Cai Nepomuceno, who is expected to do the damage from the opposite side.
