Thai import Hyapha Amporn had a team-high 28 points from 25 attacks and three blocks as Tacloban cruised to its second consecutive victory, following a five set drubbing of Petro Gazz Angels last Wednesday.
The newly-formed Tacloban squad joined Creamline Cool Smashers and Paymaya High Flyers on top of the team standings for a three-way tie with an identical 2-1 win-loss record.
The Spikers slipped to seventh place after suffering their second straight loss.
The Fighting Warays built a good momentum from a crucial second set win, 28-26, to dispatch Banko-Perlas in the third frame on a dominant fashion, 25-19.
The blue and yellow squad blew a two point lead in the opener, 19-21, before the Spikers prevailed in the extension, 27-25, only to surrender the next three sets.
