Pocari-Air Force Lady Warriors bounced back from their Sunday loss as they conquered Iriga-Navy Lady Oragons, Wednesday night, at the San Juan Arena.
Myla Pablo delivered the finishing kick for the defending champions as they recovered from a second set meltdown to eke out a 25-8, 23-25, 25-18, 25-16 victory for their second win in four games.
American opposite hitter Ari Love did not show much love for Iriga-Navy as she punished theid defense with 18 points from the attack line. She also had five big points from block and two from the service deck.
The Lady Warriors pulled off a stellar start, winning the opening set against an out-of-rhythm Iriga-Navy, 25-8, to tie Tacloban Fighting Warays for the lowest output in a single set.
Macy Ubben and Lauren Whyte connived in set 2 to facilitate a scintiliating comeback for the Lady Oragons, 25-23, but Jeanette Panaga and team captain Pablo came alive for the Lady Warriors to win the next two.
At 2-2 card, the veteran laden Pocari- Air Force knotted with Tacloban Fighting Warays at fourth place.
The Lady Oragons suffered their second straight defeat after winning their debut game to go for a 1-2 win less record and move down in sixth place.
