Banko-Perlas makes quick work of Pocari Sweat-Air Force to remain unbeaten in quarters

Banko-Perlas Lady Spikers kept their immaculate record in the quarterfinals alive as they sent Pocari Sweat-Air Force crashing back to earth, Saturday night, at the San Juan Arena.

The Lady Spikers essayed an impressive three set stunner against the defending champions, 25-19, 25-14, 25-22, to improve at 2-0 win-loss record and boost their chances for the remaining semifinals berth.

The black and red squad showed resilience in the third frame as they recovered from a 13-19 deficit, with Amy Ahomiro doing the damage from the service line while Kia Bright providing a solid defense on the net.

American open hitter Bright delivered another blistering performance for the Lady Spikers as she exploded for 19 points from 17 attacks, a serve, and a kill block.

Banko-Perlas played like a well-oiled machine as they cruised to an easy 2-0 sets lead over the Lady Warriors, thanks to the masterful setting of Jem Ferrer.

The defending champions absorbed its first loss in the quarterfinal round after winning their first two assignments against the Lady Oragons and Petro Gazz Angels.

Banko-Perlas looks to make it to the semifinals after finishing fifth in two conferences in the inaugural season of PVL.
