BanKo beats PayMaya, Montripilla drops 31

A streaking BanKo Perlas Spikers squad showed up and drew first blood against PayMaya High Flyers in the best-of-three semifinals of the 2018 Premiere Volleyball League Reinforced Conference, Sunday night at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Fresh from a sweeping the second round of the preliminaries en route to a semifinals stint, BanKo eke out a 25-19, 26-28, 25-23, 25-23 win to extend their winning streak to eight.

Hard-hitting import Aus Montripilla exploded for 31 markers built on 30 kills and a block to steer BanKo closer to its first ever Finals appearance.
