LOOK: Award winners from PVL Collegiate Conference


Isa Molde of the University of the Philippines and and Paolo Pablico of Adamson University were hailed Most Valuable Players in their respective division of the 2018 Premiere Volleyball League Collegiate Conference.

Molde led UP’s Cinderella run from finishing fourth in the preliminaries to upsetting topseed Adamson en route to the squad’s first ever Finals appearance in the league.

The 19-year old spiker from Diliman is also awarded 1st Best Outside Spiker.

In the men’s division, Pablo steered Adamson’s gallant stand as he led the squad to a third place finish in the preliminary round before succumbing to UST in the semifinals.

Pablico is also hailed 2nd Best Outside Spiker behind NU’s Bryan Bagunas.

Molde will try to lead UP to a historic first PVL title while Pablico and the Falcons look to salvage a bronze medal finish today.

1st Best Middle Blocker: Celine Domingo, FEU
2nd Best Middle Blocker: Aieshalaine Gannaban, UP
Best Opposite Spiker: Eli Soyud, ADU
Best Setter: Mary Jane Igao, ADU
Best Libero: Tonnie Rose Ponce, ADU
Most Valuable Player of the Conference: Isa Molde, UP

Men’s Division:

1st Best Outside Spiker: Bryan Bagunas, NU
2nd Best Outside Spiker: Paolo Pablico, ADU
1st Best Middle Blocker: John Paul Bugaoan, FEU
2nd Best Middle Blocker: Jayvee Sumagaysay, UST
Best Opposite Spiker: Joshua Umandal, UST
