Maraño flashes swag, fires up F2 in semis win over PLDT

Aby Maraño’s attitude inside the taraflex is arguably one of the fiercest and most entertaining the Philippine volleyball has ever seen. She has been doing it for years since her La Salle days, yet she still never fails to awe the fans every time she flash her patented brand of “swag”.

In yet another showcase of her on-court swag, Maraño was nothing short of fierce when she fired up F2 Logistics during its semifinals duel against PLDT in the best-of-three semifinals of the Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix 2019.

With their opponents threatening to make a comeback in the third set, the national team skipper tried to pumped up the Cargo Movers with her antics.

During the 18-13 mark, the 5-foot-9 middle blocker connected with Alex Cabanos for a powerful running kill topped with a “pamewang” shortly after. It was then followed by another hit and a well-deserved strut.

She continued pumping up her squad even when she moved to the backline, even scoring a point off a dig against Kendra Dahlke’s attack.

With Lindsay Stalzer and MJ Perez leading the offense and with Marano’s heroics, F2 Logistics defeated PLDT, 25-14, 28-25, 25-16, 25-22, to inch closer to the Finals.

Maraño finished with eight kills, a pair of blocks and an ace for 11 points, the highest among all locals during the four-set affair.

Maraño and the Cargo Movers look to fortify their entry to the championship round on Thursday for the second game of the semis.
