As the quarterfinals of the Philippine SuperLiga (PSL) All Filipino Conference 2019 looms, Foton tweaked its lineup and activated University of Sto. Tomas’ Eya Laure.
Leaving no stones unturned ahead of the crucial phase of the tourney, the Tornadoes tapped Laure as replacement to injured Maika Ortiz, who tore her ACL following a bad fall during their three-set affair with Generika Ayala last month.
Listed as a reserved player, Laure will finally see action and make her PSL debut today when Foton collides with Marinerang Pilipina today, 4:15 p.m. at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center.
The reports first appeared at the Daily Tribune.
With the UST star in the fold, the Tornadoes will have more offensive option to work with aside from the towering Jaja Santiago and Dindin Santiago-Manabat, who are currently on top of the scoring charts.
The Aaron Velez-backed spikers are looking to improve their win-loss 7-6 record in their last preliminary round assignment, hoping to be in better footing when they march to the next round.
A straight-set win against the Lady Skippers will at least secure Foton a shot at either no. 3 or 4 depending on the results of the match between F2 Logistics and Cignal, who also stands at 7-6.
