Philippine SuperLiga All-Filipino Conference will crown a new champion.
This after lower-seed Cignal got the best of Petron in their semifinals match-up, 30-28, 25-21, 17-25, 23-25m 15-8, today at the Filoil Flying V Arena.
Despite squandering a two-set lead, the HD Spikers woke up just in time to dethrone Petron and set a gold medal match versus F2 Logistics on Saturday.

Cignal finished the preliminaries at the fifth spot with 7-7 win-loss card. Though disadvantaged in rankings, the HD Spikers never showed slowing down as they downed fourth-ranked Generika-Ayala in their quarters game to move to the semis.
The victory against the Lifesavers gave them the right to face Petron in the semis with a twice-to-beat disadvantage.
Despite the disadvantage, Cignal pulled off what could be a Cinderella run as they managed to force a decider after beating Petron in Game 1 of the semis in five sets.
It was a total team effort for the HD Spikers’ side as all players of the team made their timely contribution. But it was opposite hitter Jov Gonzaga who became vital cog in Cignal’s run.
The Bionic Ilongga still found her rhythm amid playing three five-setter matches in three days in two separate leagues. On Tuesday, Gonzaga finished with a double-double against Petron from 15 points and 23 digs.
This time, the lefty spiker produced yet again 13 big points to lead Cignal along with Rachel Ann Daquis, Ranya Musa, Janine Navarro – all of whom produced double-digit scores.
