There is no rest for Majoy Baron and Dawn Macandili.
Just two days after their stint in the ASEAN Grand Prix held in home soil, the duo went back to work, this time for their club team F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.
Baron and Macandili were instrumental in the team’s straight-set victory over Foton, 25-23, 25-19, 25-23, in the Philippine Superliga Invitational 2019 held at the Bacoor STRIKE Gym in Cavite.
Baron, who bagged the best middle blocker in the ASEAN Grand Prix, produced 11 points from nine attacks, one block, and an ace to lead the Cargo Movers to their third victory of the conference.
F2 Logistics now hold a 3-1 win-loss card.
Macandili, meanwhile, guarded the floor well as she had 22 excellent digs in three sets.
For Baron, their International stint greatly helped in their level of play.
“Siyempre, ‘yung intensity from International sobrang taas. And ‘yung experience doon, iba talaga. Mas marami akong natutunan from that league and na-aapply ko naman dito sa PSL,” Baron said.
Macandili echoed the same sentiments.
“Siyempre sa International scene mas mataas ‘yung level of volleyball. Marami rin akong natutunan kagaya ng paano mas maging consistent and paano bumasa ng bola. Na-aapply ko naman siya during the game,” said the best libero of the ASEAN Grand Prix.
The Cargo Movers seek to build on this momentum as they face Generika Ayala on Saturday.
