In the wake of Fiola Ceballos’ departure, Generika Ayala made acquisitions of its own for the 2020 season of the Philippine SuperLiga (PSL) as it tapped Rhea Dimaculangan, Mina Aganon, and Eli Soyud.
The Lifesavers introduced Dimaculangan, Aganon, and Soyud via their social media accounts on Tuesday morning, a day after the announcement of Ceballos’ transfer to Cignal.
The three recruits will play vital roles when Generika plunges back to action in the new PSL season, which officially starts next month with the Grand Prix Conference.

Prior to the announcement, the one-time PSL champions hinted at Dimaculangan’s and Aganon’s arrival on January 3.
Aganon, who played for Foton since 2017, is tipped to fill the void left by Ceballos together with ex-Sta. Lucia hitter Eli Soyud and Generika mainstays Patty Orendain, Angeli Araneta, Kath Arado, Carol Cerveza, May Macatuno and Riri Meneses.
The biggest catch, though, is Dimaculangan.
A national team campaigner with vast championship experience, the four-time PSL gold medalist was instrumental to Foton’s Grand Prix win in 2016 before she orchestrated Petron’s three championship runs from 2017-2019.
At Generika, she is reunited with brother Karl, who serves as assistant coach to the Lifesavers since 2016.
Generika is aiming to improve from its sixth-place finish last Grand Prix.
