Petron ends three-year drought, wins Grand Prix gold

Sweet, sweet victory!

After three straight years of bridesmaid finishes in the PSL Grand Prix, Petron Blaze Spikers finally cracked the code and notched its second title after a masterful wizardry against F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.

The Blaze Spikers capped the thrilling best-of-three Final series with an emphatic 25-19, 25-20, 22-25, 25-18 win yesterday in front of 2,300 spectators at Smart Areneta Coliseum.

Katherine Bell led all scorers with 28 markers built on 25 kills and three blocks while Lindsay Stalzer chipped in 24 hits.

Perez powered the Cargo Movers in a losing effort with 19 points all from attacks.

Petron now holds two titles to defend in their pockets after winning the All-Filipino Conference last year against the same squad.

Here are the best Twitter moments during and after the breathtaking clash:

The Stunner goes for off-the-block!

RDJ tries to channel his geniuses from the bleachers.

T’was a Japanese war all over the court.

Ara “Magic Bunot” Galang keeps on fighting!

Majoy Baron started a block party and Petron is not invited.

Kath, though, is really unstoppa-Bell.

Specially in this championship-clinching point.

A well-deserved win!

She keeps her promise!

A deja vu when DLSU was dethroned in UAAP 76.

Still, salute to F2!

Petron fans last night be like:

Is Stalzer a lucky charm? Hmmm…

Imagine them in one lineup.

The winningest import who ever played in PSL.

The winningest PSL import ever!

Congrats, Petron! 👏
