And they’re still on top.
The Foton Tornadoes Blue Energy kept their record clean as they emerged victorious over the Smart Giga Hitters in straight sets, 26-24, 25-19, 25-19, today in the 2018 PSL All Filipino Conference at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
Foton managed to stay composed in the tight opening set even after losing open spiker Arianne Layug midway due to a knee injury.
Mae Layug went down with a knee injury during the early goings of their game against SMART. Let's hope and pray it's nothing serious.🙏🏼

From then on, the Tornadoes proved too dominant as they cruised along in the succeeding sets, giving no chance to the Giga Hitters who missed the services of scoring ace Gretchel Soltones.
The combo of Mina Aganon and team captain Maika Ortiz worked their magic in today’s game as they led Foton with 13 and 11 points respectively to keep their team’s perfect 4-0 slate.
Meanwhile, no player from Smart finished with double digits, with Aiko Urdas and Jerrili Malabanan chipping in eight points each for the losing effort.

The team captain expressed her joy and disbelief in the Tornadoes’ performance so far in the tournament, attributing their clean record to a light and relaxed attitude while playing the game.
“Sobrang saya namin kasi di namin ineexpect talaga yung ganito. We just play our game,” said Ortiz. “Sobrang positive ng team ngayon kasi di namin inaalala yung mga errors namin, basta gawin lang namin yung tama sabi ni coach.”
The Tornadoes seek to maintain their spotless record in an acid test against the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers on Thursday.
