The Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors’ campaign is a clear case of manpower shortage, says head coach George Pascua.
The 2018 PSL All Filipino Conference has been a nightmare for the Lady Realtors as they suffer another defeat after surrendering to the Generika-Ayala Lifesavers in straight sets, 7-25, 11-25, 21-25, earlier at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
The game saw yet another dismal performance from Sta. Lucia as they failed to get both their offense and defense going, with the Lifesavers quickly pouncing on their struggles for a dominant display.

Pascua admitted the team has lacked fire so far in their PSL campaign, saying that waking up his squad from this bad dream would be a “difficult process”.
“Kulang talaga kami ng manpower dahil sa injuries, and we are trying our best para lagpasan yung challenge na ‘yon,” Pascua said. “Pero hindi magiging madali yung process dahil yung games namin ay every other day.”
The head coach also stressed the need for his players to up their game as their offense has failed to deliver, with aces MJ Phillips and Toni Rose Basas still not cleared to play in the tournament due to their respective injuries.
The head coach also admitted that things could have been different if Phillips and Basas were able to help the team in their campaign.
“Sila talaga yung kulang namin, yung ace players namin. Kasi si MJ, laging 10-15 points per game, same with Chin Basas,” Pascua said. “Kailangan talaga sila ng team.”
Pascua saw their disappointing outing in the tournament as a challenge, telling his players to never lose hope and play until the final point.
“Lahat naman ng bagay na nangyayari, kailangang i-embrace na lang natin. Don’t lose hope kasi may mga bagay ba tayong dapat ayusin,” Pascua said.
Despite the four-game slump, Pascua maintains a positive outlook going into their next games, saying that “it isn’t over till it’s over”.
“Di porke natalo tayo ng apat na beses, tapos na ang tournament,” Pascua said. “Di kami hihinto hangga’t di pa tapos.”
