Elaine Kasilag leaves Pocari, moves to Foton Tornadoes

With the new Philippine Superliga (PSL) season unfolding next month, the Foton Tornadoes beefed up their roster as they acquired Elaine Kasilag to help them in their future campaigns.

In a post via their Facebook page on Saturday morning, the Blue Energy officially welcomed Kasilag in their fold as they brace for the season-opening PSL Grand Prix.

Kasilag’s departure from her former club Pocari Sweat was expected after the departure of long-time teammate Myla Pablo, was reportedly moving to Motolite.

Kasilag is a catch.

The University of Perpetual Help alum has three NCAA championships under her belt before bringing her talents in the semi-pro ranks, playing first for the now-dissolved champion team PLDT Home Ultera Ultra Spikers.

She transferred to Pocari Sweat in 2016, teaming up with Pablo, Michele Gumabao, and Mel Gohing as the Lady Warriors copped three PVL championships.

Her 5-foot-10 frame is a welcome addition to Foton, who will still be missing the services of the towering Santiago sisters in the import-flavored conference.
