Generika to parade former Cuban NT spiker Lisbet Arredondo Reyes as import

Looking to end a four-year title drought, the Generika Ayala Lifesavers officially unveiled one-half of their reinforcements for the Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix which fires off next month.

In a announcement made through their Twitter account, the Lifesavers welcomed former Cuban national team player Lisbet Arredondo Reyes as one of their reinforcements for the upcoming import-laden conference.

The outside spiker-libero Reyes would be a welcome addition to Generika following the departure of Bang Pineda with her versatility and international experience.

She was supposed to play for Smart last year with Cuban rocket Gyselle Silva, but the plan did not push through.

Reyes played for the Cuban national team from 2006-2010, during which she suited up as libero in the FIVB Women’s World Championship 2010 in Japan.

The versatile spiker is loaded with international experience as she has brought her talents to many countries including Turkey, Indonesia, Finland, and Spain.

She is expected to tow Generika together with Patty Orendain, Angeli Araneta, April Ross Hingpit, Riri Meneses and Kath Arado.

With Reyes on board, the Lifesavers hope to arrest a four-year championship drought after their last title win in 2014.
