Following the exit of Chin Basas, the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors tinkered their roster for the upcoming Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix 2019 as they acquired the services of Amanda Villanueva.
The announcement was made by Villanueva herself thru an Instagram post and by her agency GameChangers yesterday.
“I always trust the beauty and the magic of new beginnings. Grateful for all the blessings and my new family. #RebuildTheLAND,” she wrote.
Before her tranfer to Sta. Lucia, the 26-year-old Villanueva suited up for BanKo Perlas Spikers in the rival league, helping the squad clinched two bronze medal finishes.
The former Adamson Lady Falcon becomes the second BanKo player to move to PSL following the transfer of middle blocker Amy Ahomiro to the Kalei Mau-led United Volleyball Club.
With her Adamson roots, the 5-foot-3 outside hitter is tipped to be the antidote to the Lady Realtors reception and floor defense woes en route to a dismal 2018 campaign.
