Kung Fu Reyes: Attitude remains an issue for winless UST

Character continues to be a problem for UST.

The Golden Tigresses skidded to their 3rd straight loss after getting drubbed by FEU, 22-25, 18-25, 25-15, 23-25, in the UAAP Season 78 women’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Arena on Saturday.

“Character padin ang dine-develop namin. Specifically, yung slow start tapos kakapit tapos bibitaw,” said coach Kung Fu Reyes, who noted his wards are at par with other teams skills-wise.

Winning only 1 set again, Reyes wants his players to increase their level of play and more importantly, start winning games.

“Ang kailangan namin manalo. Hindi naman kami nasa high school stage na basta natuto. Nasa competitive level na kami,” he said.

Reyes, who is a noted winner in the high school and semi-pro ranks, believes there are 2 different versions of this UST team — one, a well-oiled machine in practice, and the other an inconsistent bunch during games.

“Sa ensayo kasi ibang-iba yung ginagalaw namin. Ano ba yung factor? Malamig ba? Eh yun din naman sa kabilang team,” Reyes said. “Marami pa talaga kami dapat i-improve, especially attitude.” — By Arylle Magtalas
