One thing is certain, this rookie from the Lady Spikers’ lair has no plans of slowing down.
Joline dela Cruz led the charge for the defending champions in their straight-set victory against Adamson University today.
The rookie displayed one of her best forms yet as she finished with a double-double performance of 13 points and 10 digs to tow her squad to solo second with 8-3 win-loss in the standings.
But the Bulacan-born spiker insisted that she is not yet on top of her game.
“Mayroon pa pong kayang ibuga. Hindi pa naman tapos ‘yung season. Marami pa tayong mailalabas. Every game naman 100 percent ‘yung kailangang ibigay ko lagi,” she told FOX Sports Philippines.
For the former Palarang Pambansa standout, her mantra is to work doubly hard on training and execute this during games.
“Every training may panibagong kilos na gustong ipabagao sa akin sina Coach at siyempre nakikinig lang ako kasi alam nila ‘yung kaya ko pang gawin. Mayroon pa akong mailalabas,” the rookie assured.

Eleven games into the season, the rookie spiker is still adjusting to the pressure of the big league like UAAP.
“Okay po masaya po. Parang hindi po basta basta ang UAAP. Iba po talaga ‘yung laro nung high school kami. Dito po nandoon ‘yung pressure every training,” she said.
But while pressured, Dela Cruz has no plans of holding back to her full potential.
“Sa tingin ko po every game is a chance to show my potential and kung ano pa ang kaya kong ibuga. Sure naman po ako na may ibubuga pa ako,” she said.
