They may already be out of the final four contention, but for NU senior Audrey Paran, their remaining games are offered to those who believed in them this season.
Coming into the season, the Sampaloc squad had to face setbacks when middle blocker Risa Sato had to miss the season due to academics while setter Joyme Cagande fell to an injury.
Amid this, they still pulled through, winning one game after the other.
Senior open hitter Paran said their victory over the University of the Philippines is a testament of how the team is working doubly hard.
“Happy kami kasi nagawa namin ‘yung purpose kung bakit kami naglaro ngayon. Pinagusapan kasi kami namin before game, ‘yung lahat ng games namin parang thank you gift namin sa mga supporters at naniwala sa amin,” she said.
“So, happy kami kasi alam namin na napasaya namin sila. And ‘yun naman talaga reason kung bakit naglalaro kami, para doon sa mga naniniwala at sumusuporta sa amin,” added Paran, who chipped in 15 points.

As they prepare for their last game of the season against the University of Santo Tomas, Paran vows to go all-out.
“Everything na gagawin ko para sa teammates ko kasi pinaghirapan namin ‘to. Hindi lang naman ako ‘yung nahihirapan so kailangan mag step up ako as a senior and as an ate nila. Kailangan na andoon ako parati ‘pag kailangan nila ako,” she said.
The UST versus NU match will happen on April 27 at the Filoil Flying V Center.
