Amid rumors of exit, Tiamzon pledges to finish what she has started in DLSU

Amid all the rumors of her departure, DLSU’s Tin Tiamzon is not going anywhere.

In an Instagram story on Friday night, Tiamzon addressed the speculations regarding her parents and her status with the team following the yet-to-be-confirmed departure of May Luna and Julia Ipac.

Squashing fans’ speculations, the senior Lady Spiker clarified the issue about her parents coaxing her to not use her final year of eligibility in the UAAP.

She said, “Apparently someone commented that my parents are forcing me to go back home to Canada and I am just going against their wishes. Whoever made this comment may have misinterpreted the situation.”

The Fil-Canadian outside hitter said that her parents have always had her back ever since her debut for the team back in Season 78.

“I would just like to clarify that I am not being forced to do anything, my parents have supported my every decision ever since I started in La Salle,” the three-time UAAP champ said.

“They’re the most loving and caring people that I know, so please don’t say anything about them being authoritarian parents. They just want what is best for me, and that is whatever choice it is I make for myself,” she said.

Further, in what could be a confirmation of her decision to play next season, Tiamzon said there is no need for the fans to worry as she is committed to finish what she has started.

“Thank you for the concern, but there is no question where I’ll be going. I am loyal and I am committed to finish what I’ve started,” she said.

This, after her batchmates Luna and Ipac were spotted training with Cignal ahead of Philippine Superliga (PSL) All Filipino Conference 2019, which left fans speculating about the exit of the two from the green-and-white.

Fans then rallied #OneMoreYearTin, hoping Tiamzon will use her last playing year next season to help the Taft-based squad in reclaiming the throne following their third place finish last season.

CJ Saga, meanwhile, was first to address the rumor, confirming that she is still with team.
