Monday Night Winners and Losers 08/20/18

Alexa Bliss reveals the Raw Women’s Survivor Series Team: Raw, Nov. 12, 2018

Fresh off from a successful showing at SummerSlam, the Red Brand looks to keep the ball rolling as we enter another week of WWE programming. And you know that means…

It’s time for another Monday Night Winners and Losers! And boy, we sure have a lot of Superstars to put under the Winners column, so let’s just jump right into it.

Winner: The Riott Squad

The trio of rebellious women led by the fearless Ruby Riott has been on a roll recently as they continue making the lives of both Sasha Banks and Bayley a living hell. This week, The Riott Squad were able to outlast The Boss n’ Hug connection once again, even with Ember Moon providing the assist. The Squad are definitely riding on a huge wave momentum for the upcoming Evolution PPV. Future woman tag team champs, anyone?

Loser: Stephanie McMahon

Let’s just say unlike her husband, Stephanie McMahon had a rough night. After putting the newly-crowned RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey on a pedestal, WWE’s Lady Boss paid for it with a broken arm as Rousey saw through the charade and easily placed Steph in an armbar like it’s nothing. But thanks to this incident, Constable Baron Corbin got an instant promotion and GM Kurt Angle got placed on the sidelines. Oh well.

Winner: Triple H

You gotta love the guts of the one and only Triple H. Instead of enjoying himself after a successful PPV, he decided to come out and challenge The Undertaker to face him at the upcoming Australia event Super Show-Down. It’s been years since the two icons went head-to-head inside a WWE ring, but The Game didn’t care. He told The Deadman to put his hat back on to bring back the era they ended at WrestleMania 27.

Loser: Finn Balor

Finn Balor finally got a rematch for the WWE Universal Championship he never truly lost, thanks to the kind heart of the new champion Roman Reigns. Too bad he didn’t bring The Demon with him because his chances of winning would’ve been greater. Nonetheless, Balor fought as hard as he could, but he failed to win back the title even after Reigns got distracted by a certain monster who made his presence known. Maybe next time, Finn.

Winner: The Shield

How do you keep a Monster in the Bank at bay? You certainly shouldn’t fight him alone. That’s probably what Roman Reigns learned after battling Braun Strowman hundreds of times. Reigns had to call backup and he got one from his Shield brothers. Before Strowman got to cash in his MITB briefcase, The Shield took him out like a well-oiled machine as they send the big man crashing through the announce table. The Hounds of Justice are back!
