Monday Night Winners and Losers 10/8/18

Alexa Bliss reveals the Raw Women’s Survivor Series Team: Raw, Nov. 12, 2018

Grab some popcorn and make it snappy because we’re in for a treat. This week’s episode of RAW had so many twists and turns, you might as well make it a new carnival ride. As always, we’re tasked to divide the room between the Winners and the Losers.

Where do we even begin with this one? With so many things to unpack, we’ll be stuck here for days. But fear not, we will try and make sense out of all the chaos. Let’s get down to it.

Winner: Kurt Angle

Isn’t Kurt Angle currently on vacation? Who cares, it’s Kurt freakin’ Angle! The former Olympian got the last laugh this week after winning Baron Corbin’s hokey battle royale. Hiding his identity as a Conquistador, Angle promptly eliminated Corbin to qualify for the WWE World Cup Tournament at Crown Jewel. The tournament is slowly shaping up nicely, what with Cena already in it. I guess we now have our first favorite to win the event. Sorry, Corbin.

Loser: The Shield

The Hounds of Justice took home the victory last Saturday at Super Show-Down, but they found themselves at the losing side this week in a huge rematch. Drew McIntyre took the W for his team after connecting a massive Claymore Kick to Dean Ambrose’s face. Huge win for the Dogs of War, but a bad night for the Shield. The Lunatic Fringe didn’t take the loss well after he left his Shield brothers in the ring. Is this the end of the Shield as we know it?

Winner: The Bella Twins

Weeks of fighting alongside Ronda Rousey finally paid off for the Bella Twins after they successfully dumped the RAW Women’s Champion in the middle of the ring. Nikki Bella led the attack as the twins sent the champion the strongest message this week. And wouldn’t you know it, the calculated offense landed Nikki Bella an instant title shot at Evolution. Can Nikki out-bad the Baddest Woman on the Planet or will she end up getting her arm broken?

Loser: Alexa Bliss & Mickie James

When will the current generation of Superstars learn not to pick fights with legends? Alexa Bliss and Mickie James did just that this week against the one and only Trish Stratus. But who evened the playing field? It’s none other than the First Lady of Extreme, Lita! The former Women’s Champions sent Bliss and James running, effectively setting up Evolution’s biggest tag team match. We’re just pumped to see Stratus and Lita back in action, really.

Winner: D-Generation X

Speaking of returns, guess who also made a comeback this week. If you can’t guess who, we got two words for you. Shawn Michaels will step out of retirement to break the rules once again with his buddy Triple H. And this time, they got bigger problems in the form of Undertaker and Kane. You know a situation is serious when the Heartbreak Kid had to come back to deal with it. Better get ready because the DX hype train is up and running once again.
