WWE recently welcomed seven new recruits to the WWE Performance Center. Led by Mae Young Classic competitor Mia Yim and indie sensations Matt Riddle and Chelsea Green, this year’s new prospects are looking to make their impact in the big leagues.
Mia Yim received her WWE contract after she lost her MYC quarterfinals match against Toni Storm. Yim received so much love that night, the crowd had to chant “Please sign Mia” and COO Triple H happily obliged. Meanwhile, Matt Riddle was announced as the newest NXT signee at TakeOver Brooklyn IV last August. Riddle will bring his MMA expertise and his undeniable charisma to the Yellow Brand as he makes his NXT debut on October 31. Rounding up the headliners is Chelsea Green who made a name for herself in the indies after being eliminated from Tough Enough in 2015.
Also part of this year’s roster of recruits in Luis Martinez, better known in Ring of Honor as Punishment Martinez. He will bring his massive accolades to NXT as he tries to conquer the WWE. Speaking of massive, the 7-foot-3 giant Jordan Omogbehin is looking to tower over the competition in the land of giants. Third-generation luchador Humberto Carrillo will also attempt to make an impression to the WWE Universe. And rounding up this year’s recruits is Australia’s own Daniel Vidot, a former professional rugby player looking to transition into wrestling.
